# Yokohiro for Rainmeterby Dariosuper

Here it is finally! Sorry for the wait guys

Since the picture says pretty much everything you need to know, I'll use this space to tell you about what ISN'T there yet:
* one of the four buttons in the session control part of the start menu isn't working, namely the sleep one.
* since I'm on win 8 I can't verify wether the aero blur works, so I still have to actually implement it even though there's a aero blur on/off option in the config skin.
* I forgot to put the weather unit choice option in action on the config skin, so it'll show celsius by default and to change it you'll have to edit the variables file manually if you want farenheit.
* While you can choose what to show on the smallbar, the same can't be said about the tallbar.

All of these things (and more) will get fixed when I update the suite in some time. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

As usual, if you have suggestions, critiques, bug reports, etc. feel free to eapress them here in the comments!

small update: fixed the " can't edit variables like hard drives and rss feeds from the config skin" error. thanks to all that reported it and sorry!

this is amazing. all i want to be able to do is have the bar at the top but when i do the multi window isn't there. is there a way to have it at the top fixed with multi window? is that just a bug
Featured By Owner Jul 22, 2013
also, sorry for double post but the player overlaps everything it's next to even when theres nothing next to it the album cover just goes off screen
Featured By Owner Jul 22, 2013

if by "multi window" you mean the start like menu with apps, bookmarks, etc. then just open smallbar\bar.ini

as for the player, could you show me a screenshot, because I don't really understand what you mean, I hope I can help you.

Hmmm, several issues, upon opening the verbose error logger in rainmeter your skin spits out mad errors. Theres a problem in your code somewhere in the MeasureUser section. It seems to be having a problem pulling my correct username? MeasureUser= is not valid in [volbaRr0] is the error from the logger.

Also theres incorrect pathing to some of your icons included. Instead of digging through all your code I just cut and pasted the .png's into their applicable directories.

Your skin gave me a hard on, then a head ache, now im just soft and angry.

Nice try, really nice try. But failure it is.

Not to mention the non-refreshing config menu, the feeds that dont parse in the big bar, and the weather that works in small bar but displays venice in big bar, ugh ugh ugh, I cant believe I liked this thing so much I actually spent time out of my day giving myself a headahce fixing it.

Yeah, I'm with you!  When I pay for a product, I expect...
Oh, wait.
Try to remember that people who upload skins for you to use make them at their own cost and release them for free.  Is there room for improvement?  Sure.  Is constructive criticism helpful in that process?  Always.
But bug reports are one thing - you don't have to be a jerk to make a point.  Good grief.  Go jogging or something.

Oh, and remember when your putting a theme out to leave BLANK variable files and paths or have a config script fill them for the new user.  The variables file was filled with all the usernames and paths for your computer, not ours.  Remember you are releasing this for public use, people dont need to know your computer's username not to mention it saves us the plethora of errors and things we need to fix in the code.

I'm kind of in the same boat as you Ch0c.  Love the skin but I'm baffled as to why almost nothing in the config works.  The only thing that I was able to set via the config was my weather location, nothing else works, period.  Luckily it's very simple to change everything the manual way.

Ok, about 4. "the feeds that dont parse in the big bar", that's a problem that I having with other skins too, I think it has to do with the code I used which is always the same, though I don't know why it sudendly stopped working some days ago. I try to replace it! Please be patient.

Wow, wow, wow, now that's weird!
1. the "the verbose error logger in rainmeter your skin spits out mad errors": that's really really weird, I tried just now deleting the folder and reinstalling yokohiro and didn't experience it. Could you tell me what version of rainmeter?
2. the "MeasureUser section" problem: this I can't really understand. Because in the meter [volbaRr0] there is no measure, let alone the measure "measureuser" so I really don't get how that error log could come from.
3. Can you tell me exactly which pgs are misplaced, because the only image I'm using are the tray ones, the start menu ones, and the tallbar weather ones.
4. What do you mean "non-refreshing config menu, the feeds that dont parse in the big bar"? Please, explain so that I can fix them.
5. about the weather, yes you're right, I forgot to delete a line from the .ini file.

I'll put together an update to fix all I can, I hope it'll work both as an aspirine and viagra

For now, all I can do is apologize and hope you'll give my work another chance.
And thank you for trying it.

Well, you weren't experiencing the errors because you probably wrote the skin/theme with all of the variables set to your computer.  When you package it up and put it out for the masses like that we get a theme that doesn't work for shit.

The measure user wasn't pulling the correct username from the system and was scripted to do so all over instead of just pulling the username and putting it in the variables file.  It was constantly pulling this incorrect username and entering it all over the script.  I had to manually remove the measure user and physically put my username in all over the place.  The config menu doesnt refresh the bar or itself.  The feeds werent parsing. I cant remember completely because this was last month, but damn near NOTHING worked on this beatiful theme.  Check the other users feedback, they were experiencing the same problems.  The other thing was ALL of the .pngs in the package were in the wrong directory (path error in script or you put them in the wrong dir or something).

Easiest way to air the bugs out in your theme is to try installing it yourself on a fresh rainmeter install on a different computer with a different username.  Or in a virtual machine or on a different partition.

What's the license on this work?

k, I might use some stuff from the small taskbar in my own taskbar skin (which, if all goes well, will eventually be released publically).

yeah, be my guest!

Again, thanks, and thanks for the feature! It's really an honor!!!

This is impressive, a great work. But you really need to make that preview more eye friendly. Just tooooo much text.
Featured By Owner Jul 10, 2013
thanks, and yes I should, but I wanted to make it like an overview of the whole suite ( to tell the truth, it's because I'm no good at text formatting, so when writing the description I always end up writing too much and it's not appealing; also many people skip descriptions altogether so...)
anyway, I'll try and tone it down, text-wise, for my future works!

Yeah, sometimes you just want to let the desing speak for itself, for everything else make a read me file xDD

great RMS. I'm still editing it, but it's slim size (smallbar) and the fact that it comes in black, blends right in with my other RM skins. Occupies a very small amount of space and it comes with plenty of features. I haven't been able to edit it's weather from "c" to "f", and inserting a weather code that it actually recognizes, but I'll keep tweaking it till I do. Also, I deleted all the game data in the editing text page, and I'm still getting the game link visible, (not that I mind it being there). I'll keep customizing this, but so far, I'm very happy with it, thanks bud!
Featured By Owner Jul 11, 2013
Thank you, do show me your setup!
yeah, I have to fix the weather unit choice, I promise I will!!!
And yeah, I thinking about making the start menu more customizable, like being able to chose labels for the 4 sections, and stuff like that.
Again, thanks for the feedback!!!

Here's a screenshot, ( [link] ) although, I'm only using a very small part of it, (very top of the screen) I'm looking forward to using much more of it in the near future. My first attempts to setting up a few features was unsuccessful, so I'll keep trying...

give it all you've got!

Use a weather.com code, that's what worked for me.
e.g. www.weather.com/weather/today/New+York+NY+USNY0996:1:US

Hence for New York, your code is USNY0996. Sometimes ZIP codes will work so you might try that.

all right, thanks!

Cool, but buggy, like the hard drive and the apps!
Waitin for the fix!
Featured By Owner Jul 2, 2013
Thanks! Can you describe a little more in detail the bugs you found, It would help me solve them
Featured By Owner Jul 2, 2013
ok! so your hard drive is W,F,G right, when I change the W to C, nothing happened, even I press the button "Save", and the program I use the "uservariable" to change the location of the program, but nothing happened, too!
Featured By Owner Jul 2, 2013
well if it's just that, I fixed that so you should try redownloading.
you said something about apps too, waht's the problem exactely?

I'm loving the look of this, though I did have to update to the latest version of Rainmeter to get it to look proper .

Anyway, I'm having a bit of trouble updating the variables. The variables file is properly saving and edited, but the skin doesn't reflect any of the changes. For instance, I want to change the W:\ drive to show the C:\ drive, but even changing the variables in notepad yields no results. Any thoughts?

Loving it so far!

You have to use the other variables. I think it was uservariables or styles...
Yeah, its confusing and it took me a while before I got that it gets his info from EVERYWHERE.
Featured By Owner Jul 1, 2013
If you're talking about the uservariables.inc file, I tried to edit them in there as well. Same result. Thanks for the response though .

It looks to me like this can essentially replace the task bar Is there a way I wonder to completely stop the taskbar from showing up unless you press some designated key? O.o
Featured By Owner Jul 2, 2013
Well, in my win XP times I used to use a lil program called nobar.exe, which as the name implies kills the taskbar. To mae it visible, just ens the the nobar process in task manager. It's often labeled as a virus but I never had any problem with it.

Anyway, many thanks! And enjoy YOKOHIRO!!
